148	L1 and L2 data in bufr	Huw Lewis	Huw Lewis	"Email from Stig (17 Oct 2008)

Hi Dave,

Looking closer at the BUFR files from the thinner test that we ran a
couple of weeks ago (ascii output of it), I see that there are -9999.9
for L1 and L2 BAs and IPs, only for the iono-free BA and IP there are
values. In our netCDF, from which Martin used ropp2bufr, there are
values in L1 and L2 fields. So we concluded that it may be the
ropp2bufr that does not put in those values. Would you be able to
confirm this? Is this intentional that ROPP does not put L1 and L2 data
in BUFR?
