= ROPP =

This is the feature request, issue and bug tracking web site for the '''Radio Occultation Processing Package''' (ROPP).

ROPP is a software package designed to assist users to assimilate radio occultation data from any RO mission into NWP and other models. The package is being developed through the EUMETSAT [http://www.romsaf.org/ ROM SAF].

The latest full release of ROPP ('''ROPP-6 v6.0''') is currently available for users via the [http://www.romsaf.org/files.php ROM SAF web pages]. A minor update to ROPP-6 ('''v6.1''') is currently under development and is expected to be released to users before the end of 2012. The next full release, ROPP-7 ('''v7.0''') is expected to be released to users towards the end of 2013.

== The ROPP Governance Group (ROPP GG) ==

This body meets approximately once every two months to discuss forthcoming ROPP developments, to set priorities for implementation, and to provide a forum for general liaison between developers. Representatives from each ROM SAF Cooperating Entity are invited.

The formation of an ROPP Governance Group was one of the agreed conclusions from a discussion on the [https://trac.grassaf.org/ropp/browser/ropp_doc/trunk/Future_Ways_of_Working_with_ROPP.doc ways of developing ROPP in future].
