Description
The output from test folder test IT-PP-04 varies from compiler to compiler (note the test data were created using a version of OCC compiled with ifort9). The differences are thought to originate from strong sensitivity to the model excess phase calculation required for the openloop processing of COSMIC data.
An understanding of the compiler-specific behaviour should be gained, and a fix found, particularly with use of these routines for GRAS open loop data.

The phase model processing was reviewed by Michael Gorbunov and improvments (in Occ 20.6) were implemented in the ROPP-4.1 branch. See [2489, 2492].
Testing (IT-PP-04) shows consistent results (and good agreement with OCC results) between ifort9, 10, 11, ifc, pgf956, pgf957, gfortran, nag and xlf95.
