Description
The GRAS SAF Helpdesk has received a question from Cheng Yung Huang
The helpdesk subject is: can't pass nf_open test The helpdesk description is: Hello, I try to build ropp_io package, but I can't pass the testing for nf_open. My OS is opensuse 11, and I use gfortran compile. Do you have methods to solve this problem. Thank you. Sincerely, Cheng-Yung
It would appear that the test for a working nf_open() call to the netCDf library in the configure script is failing, but this is not 100% clear from the problem report. There is insufficient information provided to make any diagnosis at this time.
Cheng-Young has been asked for more information, particularly how his version of the netCDF library and how it was built (with buildpack or custom), and the version of the gfortran and C compilers used and to confirm which version of ROPP he is using.
ROPP v4.1 is known to work on OpenSUSE 11.2 with gfortran v4.4.1 and gcc v4.3.2 (all 64-bit).
