Description
The ROPP6.0 beta reviewer highlighted the
Desirability of inclusion in the ROPP package of complete examples of the retrieval chain (eg starting with an UCAR/CDAAC phase amplitude file and a global EC GCM GRIB file, process the data towards an L2b moist profile). Such examples would be of extraordinary value to the user.
Agreed it's a good idea, and sorry it slipped through the net.

Doing this properly would mean including run scripts, test data, test figures etc, which I haven't got time to do for ROPP8.0. It could be included at ROPP9.0, perhaps in an ropp_apps module, along with the PBLH and TPH. Shifting milestone appropriately.

Good idea, but not possible until resources allow. Moving to 'whenever' milestone.

ROM SAF operational processing chain as of March 2019 - used for reprocessing, offline and ICDR generation

Added the ROM SAF operational processing chain. Could be a starting point for such a chain for users, but would have to be adjusted some.
We can now do this, thanks to the work of the AMT paper. Still needs to be incorporated in the User Guides - maybe the overview document?
