User guide latex compilation

Description
Just tried to do a make in ropp_doc/trunk/ropp_ug. This starts up latex, but fails becaue
\TPTtagStyle
is not already defined (which is required by \renewcommand). So, either use \newcommand, or define it somewhere else.

This is a problem of the TeX installation; you need the 'latest' (June 2003) version of the LaTeX package named threeparttable.
I have added a release check to the main document (changeset [639]) which should issue a warning if an out-of-date version of the package is found; however, and to my knowledge, there is no way of forcing LaTeX into aborting if a package is outdated.
