using \newcommand for ticket 9, I get up to:

I couldn't open style file egs.bst ---line 33 of file ug_da.aux

: \bibstyle{egs : }

I'm skipping whatever remains of this command I couldn't open database file meteorology.bib

Also, the make file tries to call

dvipdfm -d -p a4 -z 9 gras_ropp_ug

this might be a typo, or the divpdfm is defined somewhere else.

Hmm,

the missing files are also covered by another ticket (#12), so more on that there.

With respect to dvipdfm: I suspect this is a problem of the tetex installation; the default tetex distribution of the redhat 9 desktop is way outdated. A more recent TeX installation, however, does contain the program. Please ask unix support to update your tex distribution; the newer version might have been lost when your PC was re-installed.
