Description
A key recommendation from the ROPP6.0 beta review was for us to examine the list of compilers we support. He felt we should restrict ourselves to compilers that are on the market. We felt this was too restrictive, as many ROPP users (eg the UK Met Office, until recently) use compilers that have passed their sell by dates.
The best solution may be to ask the ROPP users which compilers they are using, and to drop any redundant ones.

We have ensured that users will be asked what compilers they use in the imminent 4th ROM SAF survey. Otherwise, we continually review and update our supported compiler lists anyway. Closing ticket or it will hang around forever.
